Ceded into RCI Points - worth 57,000 points. Annual maintenance fee approx £350 (480euros) in 2006 (includes levy imposed by club committee).

Can I ask, did you sell the week through this board or did you use a resale company, if so, which one?

We did sell but not through this forum. We advertised on other forums as well - eg Timesharetalk, and CLCmembers (a voluntary group for CLC owners). We sold to another CLC member who was looking for a week to then convert into the CLC points system, Vacation Club.

We had put the week with Aberfoyle Holidays, a resale company, but it had only been with them a few months. They are supposed to have a good reputation. They have now had to introduce a system of admin fees for advertising weeks for sale.

Other reputable companies are recommended on a variety of websites - look at the TATOC, RDA (used to be OTE) and also TCA websites.

Golden rule is do not be tempted by people phoning you up and saying that they can sell your week for thousands of pounds and that they have buyers waiting. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. It will be a scam.
