Has anybody stayed at the Paradise Club in Tenerife? We are going there in January.

I've been to the Paradise Club twice (2000 & 2001) before it became a part of Club La Costa.
It is located up a hill on the inland side of the busy main road at the back of Torviscas. It took about 15 minutes to walk down to the nearest part of the town and we usually walked back which took longer because of the hill. Taxis were quite cheap though.
We stayed in 2 bed units which had large balconies with lovely views. The units at that time were furnished to a very high standard, were very comfortable and had everything you could need.
There were 2 pools, an on site mini market and a nice cafe/restaurant by one of the pools.
We had a wonderful time and would go back there again given the opportunity.
Hope you have a lovely time.

We own at the Monterey, which is the sister resort to the Paradise Club. There has been a lot of refurbishment there over the past 12 months and the restaurants are very good. You should enjoy yourself.

Be warned, the CLC salesmen at Paradise either try and get you to convert from RCI points to Vacation Club (CLCs own point system) or bring you over to the Monterey with the purpose of selling you points to enable you to use the Monterey Royale timeshare apartments (the final phase of development for Monterey club - not available to RCI points or weeks owners).

A good warning about CLC sales people - and they will tell all kinds of lies to get you to convert, if you are tempted to attend a presentation. Especially the one about RCI points not working and that it will be finishing soon - a load of old rubbish of course!!!

We own at a CLC resort and were tempted to join their Vacation Club points system but it was very expensive to become part of (thousands of pounds!!) and you lose ownership of the your actual timeshare weeks (unlike the RCI Points system where you at least retain ownership of your weeks). We were interested in the idea of the flexibility of the points system, but chose to go with RCI Points - the much cheaper alternative.

DO NOT GET CONNED!!! DON'T WASTE GOOD MONEY CONVERTING TO ANOTHER POINTS SYSTEM WHICH HAS NO GREATER ADVANTAGES!!!

We have recently been told that our Trenython lodge will reduce in points value because it has lost its Gold Crown status and if we convert to CLC points then we would be able to stay in the newly owned CLC lodges there as well as added advantages of mid week and weekend breaks at their resorts. Does anyone know what the pros and cons are for going over to CLC.

Don't believe everything you are told by CLC sales people (nor any sales people wanting to sign you over to another timeshare product).

Have you asked RCI what the situation is with your points value at Trenython? I am sure I have heard a similar case at another resort but their points value was not affected.

PS I have answered another query you posted about CLC points scheme.
