matagorda, lanzarote

Hi, Having been to Lanzarote several times I am fairly happy with getting around and really quite enjoy the island especially in the winter months. However as I usually just skirt past Matagorda on my way in and out of puerto del Carmen Ive always regarded it as a bit cut off and isolated . Having seen several resorts in this area that look interesting - and available - I wondered if anyone knows more about it and whether it is to be recommended.
