I am thinking of using points for a cruise, has anyone tried this. I understand you are required to arrange your own flights?? anyone know if you can do this through royal carribean when you have booked with points

Hi
We booked a Royal Caribbean 3 nights cruise with points. We went from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas and Coco Cay and back last November.

I have had quotes for future cruises but only out of Southampton. Some cruises can be booked fully on points and others you have to pay the tax. I think it depends how the cruise line bill RCI. On Royal Caribbean, we had to pay the taxes in cash.

You need a lot of points for a cruise.
